Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil represents gold-plated jewelry with a distinctive feature – the base metal is sterling silver, and a thicker layer of gold plating is electroplated on top. To ensure the longevity of the gold plating and your cherished piece(s), proper care is essential.

  1. Keep it dry whenever possible. If it comes into contact with water, promptly and thoroughly dry it.
  2. Remove jewelry before showering, hitting the gym, visiting the sauna, or swimming.
  3. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals (chlorine, cleaning agents, etc.).
  4. Apply perfume/lotion and allow it to dry/absorb before wearing jewelry.
  5. Store each piece individually to prevent friction with other items.
  6. If you wish to restore the shine, gently polish with a polishing cloth. Be cautious not to overdo it!

Sterling Silver

The sterling silver base helps mitigate metal allergies in case the gold plating wears off due to continuous wear. It's important to note that an individual's body chemistry may cause silver to tarnish (turning black) quickly.

Generally, tarnish on silver can be polished away with a polishing cloth. Refer to instructions #3-6 when caring for silver. While showering with silver is acceptable, ensure prompt drying, as lingering moisture, including sweat, may cause issues.

Solid Gold

When worn as permanent jewelry, solid gold is naturally cleansed through running water and soap during showers. Although solid gold requires minimal maintenance, please take note of instructions #3, 5, and 6 for optimal care.
