What are the care instructions?
14K solid gold holds up well to tarnishing and everyday wear and tear however, due to the style of the chains being dainty, please still handle it with care! Keep away from harsh chemicals as much as possible and dry it ASAP after getting wet.
Can I weld multiple chains into a stack?
A stack of no more than two chains is recommended. For safety reasons, the chains need to be able to break if snagged. More chains = more resistance. Alternatively, clasps can be added for an additional cost ($20 per).
Can the chains be removed?
The chains are thin enough to be cut off with scissors if removal is needed. Please try to only cut the jump ring that was used to weld the bracelet together for the ease of possible re-welding.
My chain broke or became loose, can I fix it?
Yes, if your chain broke or stretched within the first 6 months, please contact me at insteadjewelry@gmail.com for a complimentary re-weld. Additional re-welds cost $15 and will need to be booked through the booking system. Lost chains unfortunately, cannot be replaced.
Can I take my permanent jewelry through airport security?
Yes, you will not be asked to remove your jewelry by TSA/CBSA.
Does the permanent jewelry interfere with MRI scans?
Yes, they will need to be removed. Complimentary re-welds are available for medical emergencies. Alternatively, you can add a clasp to take off/put on at your convenience.
